Ana Gonzales bio

Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson grew up in Mexico with a family that was devoted to music. She spent the majority of her early years listening to classic music and boleros of the past, traditional ranchero or romantic tunes, as well old classical pieces. Ana is passionate about the operas and tangos along with the dramatic shows that she attends. Ana began learning and singing music with her mother, and commenced more serious training in singing at the age of 16 under the renown Mexican Tenor Flavio Becerra. She continued her musical studies at the School of Music of the University of Guadalajara, and afterward at the School of Sacred Music in Toluca, Mexico. The singer performed throughout Guadalajara, Mexico City and various cities while a student and professional. After 2000, she emigrated into in the United States and sang with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. In 2007, she settled in her current home in Southern California. She's a frequent solo performer at private parties and events, performing traditional Latin American Music. She is passionate about singing, music and the arts keeps her involved in local activities both as an artist and instructor. Ana is also a previous part of the Community Chorus of Redlands, the Inland Master Chorale, and the Performance Loft. Ana feels privileged to have the opportunity to share with others her passion for the traditional Latin American music. She hopes this can encourage younger generations to preserve the traditions.
