Emma
Emma Charlotte Duerre Watson was born in Paris France to British parents Jacqueline Luesby and Chris Watson Both lawyers. As a young girl, she relocated from London to Oxfordshire where she attended The Dragon School. Emma was six years old when she made the decision to be an actor. She was trained for many years in Stagecoach Theatre Arts, a full-time school of theatre in Oxford where she was taught acting as well as singing. From the age of 10 she was involved and performed the main role in a number of Stagecoach School plays and productions. Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone (2000) the 2001 version to J.K. Rowling's bestselling British book began in 1999. Casting agents found Emma by way of her Oxford theater teacher. David Heyman announced to Emma that following eight auditions they and Rupert Grint were chosen as Hermione and Harry Potter. Emma's debut film appearance came in Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone in the year 2001. The movie beat all previous records in terms of its opening and weekend ticket sales, and it was the most-recorded 2001 movie. Reviewers were awed by the movie and its performances. The Daily Telegraph in Britain that is distributed widely, called her performance commendable. Emma was later awarded five prizes for her performance in the film.
